Senior User Experience Designer

About 70% of SAP’s customers are using SAPGUI. SAPGUI is main user interface for accessing SAP ERP for many years. SAPGUI supports all the standards business functionalities across all business verticals. SAPGUI is considered to be highly functional but lacks personalization ability to end users’ needs. Secondly, SAPGUI is older technology with about fifteen years’ old user Interface patterns and interactions, and most users are used to it. Most company’s CIO expected new and modern web based user interface design but the challenge was to help end users to adapt to newer web based interactions without disruption. I worked as User Experience Designer on a product called SAP Screen Personas that help companies and end users to personalized SAPGUI screens without programming. SAP Screen Personas helped end users to visually customize the screens to their need that both functional and usable. 

When I join the product was already developed in Silverlight technology. My job was to add news features and Redesign the product in HTML 5 technology. We conducted multiple workshop to understand the business users, their needs, wants and pain points. I created a empathy map to externalize the knowledge about the users in order to create share understanding of users' needs and help better decision making.
